GOOD
SAMARITAN GROUP
The Good Samaritan
Group is called
upon when someone in the parish is in need. Meals are prepared for people
who have had babies, had surgery, or been in the hospital for any reason.
Transportation is provided to people who need a ride to church, the
doctor, grocery store, etc. Volunteers generally provide service on
a short term rather than ongoing basis
PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH disABILITIES
This is a spiritual support group that welcomes
parents and other caregivers of people who deal with physical, emotional
or mental disabilities.
There are occasional evening gatherings for the entire
family and for parents who work during the day and cannot attend
the monthly sessions. We have a special Mass in March (Disabilities Awareness Month)
in which the members and those they care for participate as greeters, altar servers, and gift bearers.
We provide information on many services available in our area and state. It is the
support these parents are to one another that makes our meetings so beneficial.
