CURSILLO/ULTREYA
Cursillo is a world-wide movement of the Catholic
Church that began in Spain in the 1940s. The goal of Cursillo is to make Christian community
possible in all places and areas in which we live our lives. The Cursillo experience starts
with a 3-day retreat. After the retreat, members of Cursillo meet on a regular basis in
small groups to share their personal experience of living out their individual vocations
Ultreya is a monthly meeting for those who have
experienced a Cursillo weekend. We come together to share our faith experiences by sharing the
value of individual group reunions and to strengthen our walk with Christ through the Cursillo Community.
During Ultreya, we share prayer, song, a personal witness, Christian fellowship and, whenever possible, spiritual
direction.
FAMILY ENRICHMENT
The Family Enrichment group was formed
to help families grow in their faith. They sponsor several family events and the Wonderful Wednesday
adult spirituality sessions.
FIFTY PLUS CLUB
The 50+ Club orginated in May of 1976. The club meets
monthly from September through May. Meetings
consist of a small devotional service followed by a covered dish dinner prepared by members. Each
year at the Club's holiday dinner, the children from St. Ann School's first grade entertain members.
GIFT SHOP
The Gift Shop is located by the parish office and is open after the weekend Masses. Among the items that we carry
are: Bibles, Catechisms, Prayer Books, Rosaries, Medals, Key Chains, Children's Gifts and other religious
articles.
ROSARY GROUP
The Rosary Groups meets weekly
in the chapel where they join together in praying the rosary and sharing fellowship. Once a year they
have a dinner together.
EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Foundation was established in 1983 by a group of people dedicated to St. Ann School.
St. Ann School benefits from the interest
earned in the account. Our primary fund raiser is the
Seafood Festival and Golf Tournament held during the Memorial Day weekend.
Contributions to the Education Foundation are tax exempt and should be made out to St. Ann Education
Foundation. The income from the Foundation helps insure the future of St. Ann School. Please
keep the Foundation in mind when requesting memorials
SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD
The Saint Ann School Advisory Board is made up of
nine members, the principal and the pastor. They are charged with the responsibility of formulating
all school policy an overseeing the operation of St. Ann School. Their primary responsibility each
year is to formulate the budget, determine tuition and fees, and help to create and maintain a source
of income in addition to the tuition and church supplement. Meetings are open to the public.
